So after Mr Dibiase’s visit here to the east coast and having dude tell me about the days of tape rewind beats and samplers with 2 seconds worth of memory I decided I had to get off the computer and onto some oldschool hardware. So I’ve been revisiting my MPC 2000 xl which I had only used as a drum machine thus far. Add to that my dusty Technic 1200 and I was on my way. This is the first of what will be many beats made with this amazing piece of hip hop history. Something about the sound cannot be reproduced on fancy laptops and trendy software.
So here it is. Short, sweet and to the point.
