You might not immediately know from talking to him, but this soft spoken, occasionally geeky dude knows how to bring the nasty bass. When we first received this mix from him for our podcast series, it took an approximately 30 second listen to know for sure that we were in for a wild ride. Futexture comes in right off the bat swinging with a masterfully crafted intro sequence that plunges into the first track with a warm melody and heaps of complexity. Nope, not a single dull moment to be found in this entirely original mix.

David Krantz, the Asheville, NC based producer behind Futexture, has officially set the bar a few notches higher for all podcasts to follow and we can say for sure that you’ll be hearing more and more about him. Fresh off a number of southern gigs including cobillings with such acts as Kilowatts, Bassnectar and Nasty Nasty, Futexture has sights firmly set on making 2011 a big year in his career.

As mentioned in our last blog post, in addition to it being the equinox today, David is also turning 22. Be sure to show the guy some love on his Facebook fan page and let him know how you like the mix. He also has a number of tracks for your listening pleasure on his Soundcloud which you will certainly dig so be sure to follow him on there as well. New material gets posted often.
